Exterior Decoration Works for HSBC Bolton

Link PPS has worked for HSBC since 2012 providing on demand and planned maintenance, and property refurbishment for their network branches throughout the UK. 

In 2020, the team were commissioned to review and make recommendations for the redecoration of the rear of the HSBC branch in Bolton. Years of exposure to weather meant the building was ready for a facelift, however care had to be taken due to the presence of asbestos in the window frames.

In order to achieve the client’s desired outcome, all timber boards were undercoated and decorated with two coats of white gloss to match existing. The metal surrounds were rubbed down to remove loose material and decorated with two coats of white rust inhibitor. The walls were cleaned down, degreased and decorated with one undercoat and two topcoats of white masonry paint. In addition to the window surrounds, the windowsill threshold strips were also applied with the rust inhibitor.

The result is a protected and greatly improved rear elevation to the HSBC Bolton building.
