Repair, Restore, Recycle - Amazon Locker Refurbishment Programme

  • 150 units refurbished to date.

Having already established a strong working relationship with Amazon as part of their locker installation and reactive repair programme, they recently instructed the Link PPS team to undertake an assessment of lockers which had been removed from various sites to determine whether they could be repaired and brought back into service.

Demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and recycling, Amazon were keen to restore as many of the units as possible.

Following the assessment, Link PPS were instructed to go ahead with the necessary repairs to 150 units. This involved the following elements:

  • External unit repairs
  • Repainting
  • Cleaning
  • Electrical repairs and function checks.

As no formal refurbishment process was in place at the outset of the project, Link PPS developed one, complete with photos of each stage, and ensured all trades involved were fully briefed before commencing.

Once refurbished to Amazon’s satisfaction, the lockers are placed in storage for call off as and when required.
