Minimum Disruption Key to BBC Works

  • Working with the BBC since 2012

Keeping the cameras rolling with minimal disruption is a key requirement for any work carried out for the BBC - a fact that the Link team constantly have in the front of their minds with any jobs they undertake for the broadcasting giant.

The programming and execution of any works have to fit around the operational constraints of live broadcasts being carried out, and the studios being operational 24 hours a day.

Link frequently carry out small project works and facilities maintenance jobs for the BBC, but following a competitive tender process, Link was appointed as principal contractor for the fit out of new washrooms at the BBC’s premises in Newcastle.

Works required isolation and diversion of services as well as demolition prior to forming the new washrooms which included a separate DDA compliant toilet and shower room.

Working closely with project partners, the team ensured that the project was completed to the client’s satisfaction.
